Heyo! Guess who’s re-reading the same books instead of picking up new ones that are staring at her from her TBR pile? Uhhhhh. Don’t look at me. Okay, fine. Guilty as charged. Honestly, 2018 has been the year of re-reading some favourites and it has been blissful. I’m getting a whole new perspective on these stories, so many things I’d missed out, so many things I’d forgotten.
Early this year, I’d made a decision to re-read the entire Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare in wait for Queen of Air and Darkness which is one of my most anticipated books of this year! When I read it for the first time, I was only in the sixth grade and I’d started from the Infernal Devices; reading is in chronological order rather than the order it was published it. I read the events in the way they happened, not in the way they were meant to be read. So, this time I decided to read them in the order that they were published, starting with City of Bones from The Mortal Instruments. And while I was at it, I thought I would record my journey and thoughts on here. Not that anyone cares.
As a plus-sized, brown girl, I have spent some time thinking about the concept of ‘objective beauty’, and well it has either left me confused, frustrated and sometimes just disappointed. There exists a certain set of physical features that appeal to most humans, say a skinny waist and big boobs on a girl or a six-pack on a boy. Blue eyes. Long hair. Cheekbones. Sharp jawlines. Fair skin (to a certain extent, at least). Yes, not EVERYONE has the same ‘type’, not everyone has the same taste, but you have to admit, there are some features that most people find appealing or attractive.
Hey guys!! So, BookTubeAThon is just around the corner; literally, it’s in a few hours, and I have finally decided that I am going to participate even though it’s going to be a crazy week with school assignments and tests. If you don’t know what this event is, BookTubeAThon is an annual week long readathon running from July 24th to July 30th (also tbr stands for ‘to be read’ in case y’all didn’t know).
Hey guys! Guess what’s new? Well, practically nothing except… I went on a trip in January, from my school, to Satpura! Now, a lot of you may not know where Satpura is. It’s in India, if anyone was curious. In central India, to be exact. Since that is clear, let’s get on with the post. So, I went with my classmates to this gorgeous nature reserve where all you could see were trees and greenery and beautiful sunrises.
Hello everyone, if anyone still even reads my blog. So this past November (I know I’m four months late :p), I took a trip to Switzerland. I went with a bunch of my classmates on a Student Exchange Program from my school to Institute Montana, Zug and had the time of my life.
